By CASSIE CARPENTER

Fans know him best as the tattooed bad-boy biker Jackson ‘Jax’ Teller on FX’s Sons of Anarchy.

But Charlie Hunnam looked every bit the dapper Englishman suited up on the Ontario set of his new film Crimson Peak Thursday.

The British thespian spent his 34th birthday shooting his role as Dr. Alan McMichael in the horror film set in 19th century Cumbria.

Female fans young and old flocked around the clean-shaven ‘man of mayhem’ and he kindly obliged them with autographs and pictures.

In Crimson Peak, Charlie ditches his Harley-Davidson and reunites with his Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro.

Mia Wasikowska heads up the gothic romance as an author called Edith Cushing, who discovers her charming new husband Sir Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston) is not who he appears to be.

'[Crimson Peak] has moments that are very visceral, physical violence,' the Gravity director told Screen Rant last year.

'You’re in this sort of sedate romance and then there is this brutal moment where you’re like, “Whoa!” And it has a lot of kinky moments.'

Coincidentally, Newcastle-born Hunnam is a graduate of Cumbria College of Art and Design, where he studied film and acting.

The big-screen ghost story - due out October 16, 2015 - also features Jessica Chastain.

Last October, the two-time Oscar nominee gave her Facebook fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of herself undergoing a full-body lifecast for Crimson Peak.

Sons of Anarchy Charlie Hunnam ‘visit’ cancelled due to scam

A promoted visit from Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam to Mount Pearl has been cancelled after a promotion company said it was scammed.

The $250 meet and greet with the star of the hit crime drama about an outlaw motorcycle club was supposed to take place last November, but was rescheduled for Feb. 22.

Quebec-based company Full Throttle Events was responsible for bringing Hunnam to Newfoundland. A local motorcycle dealership — Mile 1 Harley Davidson in Mount Pearl — sold tickets to the event.

Last week, Full Throttle Events announced on its Facebook page that it had been duped by a fake booking agent and that Hunnam would not be coming to Mount Pearl after all.

Charlie Hunnam, apparently, never knew he was supposed to appear at the Mount Pearl event or a similar event planned for London, Ont.

"The second I knew Charlie wasn’t for me, that was it then, that was my biggest disappointment," said Charlie Hunnam fan Carla Crotty. "The fact that this has been cancelled now … that’s not a surprise to me. I said from the very get go that this had shady written all over it. I hope Mile 1 Harley Davidson isn’t left holding the bag."

Mile 1 Harley Davidson said it doesn’t know whether or not the event is officially cancelled.

"For those of you who have bought tickets to the events with Charlie Hunnam, we want to keep you informed and let you know that we are working diligently to be refunded from the manager that scammed the money from us," Full Throttle said on its Facebook site.

Full Throttle has promised to eventually refund the money from the tickets.

"We deeply apologize but we are NOT scammers and one way or another you WILL be refunded your money," the Facebook posting continues.

The company’s Facebook page has a long list of complaints from customers about poor service and communication, and some are even threatening legal action.

"I think a lawsuit would be a great idea. Anyone setting it up let me know," wrote one customer on the site.
